In maximum cases, it has been observed that the Supreme Court Judges in England and Wales are white men which perfectly suit the narrow social background. It has been agreed unanimously that the diversity rate in the number of judges in the judicial system in United Kingdom is very low. In this answer the reasons for less number of judges in Wales and England and along with it the less diversity regarding the members of the ethnic community has been discussed, the result due to such low diversity has been analysed in a greater aspect. It is also agreed by many that something must be done in this aspect and the diversity ratio must be enhanced (Strong, 2015). Prior to 2005, when appointments were made and effectively decided by Lord Chancellor, then it was quite easy to blame the scarcity of ethnic minority and women judges in the judicial system and hence the discrimination that was practiced could easily be camouflaged. Some of them are of the view that there exists no discrimination instead the blacks, womens, Asians, and other disadvantaged groups are not interested and do not opt for the job as judges. Among them many good judges dont want the job and few others d ont apply as they think that they wont be selected (Wilson, 2013). This problem of underrepresented ethnic minorities could be reversed by adopting certain practices at the appointment stage by the appointment commission. The candidates must be appointed purely on the basis of merit. There were many other aspects, which were questioned regarding the appointment criteria and the qualification for judges. Conferences were held regarding this issue and various remedies were provided among them one was that the pool from which the judges were chosen must be broadened so that more ethnic minority individuals and women candidates prefer this job. These could be possible by incorporating various ideas by making the job of the judge more attractive to women with families, at the early stage of the career potential judges should be spotted and they must be encouraged and mentored so that they can reach the aspired position. Training schools must be created for judges and the choice must be made between qualified candidates so that the competition is at a lev el playing field. However, the main problem for the incorporation of these ideas is the expenditure which is not readily available and by following the cheaper path the required judicial diversity could not be achieved (Foster, 2015). It could easily be concluded that judicial diversity is a very important factor, which must be evaluated as a diverse judicial system would diminish the chance of biasness in the system and it would help to provide proper justice regarding discriminatory matters. A diverse judicial system would enhance the quality of our judges and it would increase confidence and public trust in the judicial system. Judicial diversity does not properly exist in England and Wales and the judicial system of these areas must be enhanced in order to increase the diversity ratio. Brief Background of Gandhi’s Concept of Satyagraha Gandhi, once the Barrister in South Africa was inspired to put his wholehearted faith in Satyagraha, the heart of his civil-disobedience.4 This barrister was sagacious enough to perceive the power of public unity and support in a modern democratic state. He adopted the Civil-disobedience policy as a means of political protest which could simultaneously sustain the state and create pressure on it toward the intended end. Indeed this protest policy of civil disobedience could sustain the basic form of a government through non-violent defiance, while forcing her to compromise with the defiant civil group.5 But the success of civil disobedience crucially pivots on the weight, of the defiance of protesters, which in democracy is considered as the volume of support. With this new insight, in 1915, Gandhi returned at a critical moment when India was rolling into a democratic political environment from the shadow of the British colonial rule. Gandhi the barrister with his new political insight was wise enough not to jeopardize the prospect India, then, the child of democracy.6 During the 1910s the democracy was budding through the National Congress Party; it was the age when the literate Indians had already adapted with the democratic environment and the rural underdeveloped Indians were waiting for a leader who could lead to the light of democracy. Briefly, black students can be humiliated because of some ethnic problems that they face in their schools and I believe that the successes of African American students are affected by ethnic conflict because of three reasons which are historical background of ethnicity in America, social identity problems that African American students have and the problem of educational utility which is related with how African American students are educated and does the education effective. With these three reasons, mostly I focus on the effects of ethnic conflict in America between black and whites and related with all these information I will try to find most reliable and successful solution way in education to protect African Americans. First of all, as we know that the historical background of ethnicity in America includes a lot of variables, and related with these factors I believe in the African American can be humiliated. This is because tribes about black people in America which play crucial role in decision making processes which are done by mostly white American people. In America we have general tendency to see African American people as a weak owing to the historical knowledge, ÄÂ ±f we look the side of racist white American people. In brief, historical background of slavery and the tribes that American society has related with racism are two important key feature of racist conflic t which can be found in education. Secondly, as I mentioned that ethnic conflict can be found in education, most specifically ethnic conflict force student to select their sides as an identity and it creates identity problems related with African American students, and also this problem affects African American youths academic performance. The first dimension, idealistic educational utility, is based on the Protestant work ethic -hard work in school is directly related to success and the second dimension of educational utility values, is context-specific educational utility, and reflects the idea that education does not always result in occupational success-that because of discrimination, education is less useful for African Americans than it is for members of other racial or ethnic groups (Rowley 5). Firstly, hard working in schools like schools which have protestant work ethic can bring success to Afro-American students. Therefore according to Rowleys analysis, African American students can only be successful in this type of schools. However this analysis also gives counter argument by saying that the context-specific educational utility cannot always be the way of successful education for African American students, this is because of contextual factors such as race, gender, and socioeconomic status constrain t he value of education. Basically, we can say that the context-specific educational utility is not suitable as much as others, because the context-specific educational utility component also refers specifically to race and education. If I take all these point into consideration, I can say that without any doubt ethnic conflict is one of the greatest problem in American society. They have been trying to solve it by using different ways. For example, African American students families try to protect their children by providing some new ways against the racial things that occur in American education system by using homeschooling. However educational problems related with ethnic conflict unfortunately is not solved yet. African American students suffer so much. For instance, they cannot take adequate education as much as how White American students are educated. Both armies grew fatigued from traveling up and down the mountains, leaving them open for attack(Dunaway).In addition, both armies targeted various sites within the region as strategic occupancy points because they were located on major river s, were railroad junctures, or were the sites of important resources such as the national rifle works, saltworks, mineral springs, or mines(Dunaway). Farms and livestock were also destroyed and/or pillaged to also be somewhat beneficial to the armies(â€Å"Appalachia†). One specific battle located in Appalachia is the Battle of Gettysburg. The battle was located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and lasted for a total of 3 days.After the first day the Confederate army was outnumbering the Union and looked as if a victory was inevitable. The Union, after a surprising loss on the first day, was devastated that they had lost nearly half of their troops and retreated up to Cemetery Hill and Gulp's Hill.
